Maybe the goal of the Palestinians is not the establishment of their own nation. Maybe their demand for statehood is a ploy to remove a non-Arab society. From 1948 to 1967, during the Jordanian and the Egyptian control of the West Bank and Gaza, respectively, I was not aware of any effort and/or expectation of the Arab world and/or of the UN to establish a Palestinian nation in either territory.
